Parma, 8 March 2025<\/em>\u202f\u2013 Growing on and off the field. Parma Calcio presents Off the Pitch<\/em>,<\/em><\/strong> a four-episode-long exclusive series which will follow the professional and personal growth of three of our Women’s First Team players. The series will be posted on Parma Calcio Women’s social media pages in March and April. The teaser, launched on International Women’s Day (8 March), introduces the project, the players that we’re following, and it hints at some of the themes that are included in the show.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n OFF THE PITCH<\/strong> <\/p>\n Off the Pitch<\/em>\u202fis a unique project that tells the story of three Parma Women’s players off of the field, highlighting their educational journey and their professional aspirations. The series, composed of four episodes, opens with an introduction of the Club through the voices of Domenico Aurelio<\/strong>,\u202fHead of Women\u2019s Football<\/strong>, and\u202fSalvatore Colantuono, the Women’s First Team Manager<\/strong>. <\/p>\n The following three episodes are based on Caterina Ambrosi, Federica Rizza and Anna Catelli, three players who live their football career alongside their own personal growth at the Club. Ambrosi<\/strong>, the team captain and Communication graduate, works alongside Team Digital and the Press Office. Rizza<\/strong>, the defender who, upon receiving her UEFA C license, began coaching the Women’s Under 11 team. Catelli, <\/strong>midfielder and Psychology graduate, has continued her academic journey with true dedication and, thanks to the Club, she has been able to do an internship within the psychological field.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n TODAY AND TOMORROW: PARMA CALCIO’S MAIN BELIEF<\/strong><\/p>\n Off the Pitch<\/em>\u202fis part of Parma Calcio’s main goal which is to guarantee their female players an educational path in whatever career they choose. The initiative was born to inspire young women to believe in combining sport and their career by developing adaptable skills that can be used outside of football. Domenico Aurelio<\/strong>,\u202fHead of Women\u2019s Football<\/strong>, emphasised the importance of this approach: ‘Parma Calcio Women focuses on growth within sport, but it is also a place where the players can develop personally and professionally. With ‘Off the Pitch’ we want to highlight their work both on and off the pitch, offering key tools for their future. This story focuses on their journey, showing their determination, maturity and drive to improve every day’.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Off the Pitch<\/em>\u202fis part of a bigger strategy of female empowerment and gender equality and it aims to highlight the true importance of female players who, with passion and ambition, set themselves up for the future. Parma offers an amazing opportunity: being able to experience this at such a great club is very special. I hope our stories can inspire many others’.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Federica Rizza<\/strong>, Parma Calcio Women defender and Women’s Under-11 coach added, ‘participating in this series has been an amazing experience. I am happy to have had the chance to talk about my journey and to reveal the opportunities here at Parma. It is key to think of your future even in your sporting career, and this project shows this. I am so happy to have taken part.’<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Anna Catelli<\/strong>, midfielder and psychology graduate, who is doing an internship at the Club, concluded, ‘Off the Pitch was an opportunity to reveal who we are, not only as players, but also as people with passions and goals off the field. Lots of us invest our time in other activities, showing that we can grow in many ways with our passion and hard work.
